Exclusive Free Re-Werk from Kwerk

He's one of the rising stars of the breaks scene and we've coaxed him into dishing out a monster re-werk as an exclusive free download for you fine people of Funk and Filth Land!

From his British beat lab Ian KWeRK Padley spends his time and his talents producing breaks bangers, remixing some of the sickest tunes around or smashing together mixtapes that will knock your socks (and pants, and probably any piercings you might have!) clean off! In fact his Planet Angel Promo Mix was deemed so damn tasty by the beat pervs at Funk and Filth HQ that it made it into our shortlist for the Mix Of The Year poll!

But today it's all about his monster re-werk of Bizarre Inc's Playing With Knives, which is now available as an exclusive free download only here on Funk and Filth!! A big, breaksy, bassline roller with that infectious piano riff, definitely one to be smashing in your mixes this year! Grab it now, and keep your eyes peeled for more from the Kwerkster as we hear he is working on some more dangerous remixes (including one for Rebel Sketchy) and a fresh E.P. of glitch hop, drumstep and breaks badness!! Check his Soundcloud for more!

Funk and Filth File 'o Facts : Tigerlight

DJ, producer, composer, vocalist, the girl’s got it all. The girl’s called Tigerlight, and she’s one of the biggest things in bass music right about now!

Half British, half Scandinavian, half interstellar music goddess, Tigerlight turns her hand to all sorts of bass music wonderment, from house, to garage, dubstep, to DnB, you name it!

Her original tracks are fresh, dirty and likely to incite sporadic outbreaks of shape-throwing wherever they’re played (try the free download of By My Side for size below), and her live DJ mixes embody that finely-tuned cocktail of both funky and filthy basslines that gets all the right juices flowing!

But it’s as a vocalist that the Tiger is truly unleashed! Whether laying down her honey-dipped lyrics for her own tracks or for the likes of High Rankin, Dodge & Fuski, Far Too Loud or Document One, or enflaming riotous scenes on the dancefloor as the front woman of the High Rankin Live experience and her other live performances!

Check out this selection of the loud-but-lovely lady’s work right here! They’re FREE DOWNLOADS too! Oh, and if you like the look of Tigerlight's 'I Brought The Funk' t-shirt, then you can get your own one here! ;)
