6 UK Festivals You Should Get To In 2015 - [Includes Free Music Downloads]

There are so many great festivals in the UK and all around the world, it can be pretty much impossible to choose which ones to head to. Here's just a few that are (in our humble opinion!) well worth flinging yourself into head first! Got any other festival recommendations? Leave them in the comments at the bottom. Enjoy . . .

1. Sunrise Celebration Festival - 21st - 24th May 2015, Piercefield Park, Chepstow
Line Up Highlights: Kosheen Unplugged, Krafty Kuts, Far Too Loud, Lazy Habits, Deekline, Ed Solo, Leuce Rhythms
Website/tickets - - - - - Facebook event

This 4 day extravaganza on the Welsh border hills brings some of the funkiest live acts and best DJs together for a weekend of awesome. Krafty Kuts is the stand-out name among the impressive DJ talent, and also a chance to see the highly rated Leuce Rhythms! On the live stage we see the party thumpers Lazy Habits and an opportunity to see Kosheen live!

2. Glastonbury - 24th - 28th June 2015, Worthy Farm, Pilton
Line Up Highlights: TBA (but allegedly Stanton Warriors are already on the line-up for the dance village).

One of the few festivals where the line-up genuinely doesn't matter. If you've been before you'll know it's like no place on earth and can leave you destroyed and elated at the same time. In our opinion there are festivals, and then there's Glastonbury on another level, we probably don't need to say much more!

3. Bass World - 4th - 5th July 2015, Brighton
Line Up Highlights: High Rankin, Specimen A, Pyramid, James D'Ley, Shimon, Rain City Riot, Tigerlight
Website/tickets - - - - - Facebook event

A brand new one day 5k capacity festival taking place near Brighton this summer! Bringing together some of the finest people in bass music (you could probably guess that from the name!), it's the sort of line-up that has us salivating into our mugs of rum here at Funk and Filth HQ!

4. Boardmasters - 5th - 9th August 2015, Cornwall
Line Up Highlights: Rudimental, Clean Bandit, DJ EZ, Doorly (more TBA)
Website/tickets - - - - - Facebook event

Consistently one of our favourite festivals every year, Boardmasters fuses together a good mix of big headliners with an array of up-and-coming talent and throws them together for a giant party on the clifftops! Sun, sand, sea and surfing on the beach during the day, then a proper rinse-out on the cliffs at night. Perfect. It was also the place where we first encountered the awesome Snatch The Wax DJs, who have been dishing out some of our favourite mixes ever since!

5. Boomtown - 13th - 16th August 2015, Hampshire
Line Up Highlights: Shy FX, Spor, Noisia, LTJ Bukem, Dub Pistols, Slamboree, Dr Meaker, Matt Jam Lamont, Odjbox, Too Many Ts, Captain Flatcap, Stickybuds, Featurecast, Mafia Kiss, Nicky Blackmarket
Website/tickets - - - - - Facebook event

It looks as thought the Boomtown organisers are trying to give us a heartattack! A line-up this sick is basically attempted mass murder on discerning bass heads everywhere! Picking out our highlights from the massive line-up was hard enough, and when you add in the unique atmosphere that they've created and one of best festival crowds possible, as well as this week's Breakspoll award for Best Large event, then Boomtown is a winner for sure.

6. South West Four - 29th & 30th August 2015, Clapham Common, London
Line Up Highlights: Andy C, DJ EZ, Sigma, Sub Focus, Wilkinson, Gorgon City, Faithless
Website/tickets - - - - - Facebook event

A shit load of the biggest names in DnB, dubstep and other basstacular genres come to London to lay down some monstrous sets in what is arguably the jewel in the crown of the UK's 'non-camping' festivals! The Sunday line-up is looking much tastier than the Saturday to us at Funk and Filth, but both days will be banging!
