If there are two things we learnt from this weekend's pilgrimage northwards it's 1. Don't bother buying a pint of lager in Manchester, they all taste like milk! and 2. Don't bother wearing clothes on a Virgin train, as those things are hotter than the sun! And if there's a third thing we learnt from this weekend, it's that Manchester knows how to party!! Sound Control did the International Breakbeat Awards proud with a truly epic night!
As always it was awesome to throw down with all the amazing breaks and bass heads, to catch up with some friendly faces and see/listen to some of the finest DJ talent in the world at the moment! There are far too many names to mention them all, but special shout out to Breaksjunky and Kwerk who opened the proceedings downstairs and set the level for the rest of the night! JFB, A.Skillz and Elite Force understandably destroyed it in the upstairs room, but the real treat of the night had to come in the form of the surprise closing set from one of our favourite DJs - Retropolis - who was thrown into the line-up last minute in a back-to-back set with fellow filth-flinger Sanxion.
